Move That Picture!

in general

I’m writing this post for one reason only––to move  that picture down the page!  Sorry about that.  I’m better now.

Seriously, I have a question, and it seems that I have a few readers now.  So I’m going to ask for your opinions and hope that you will provide them to me by commenting on this blog.  That is the great thing about blogs, of course.  In distinction to a static website, where you just throw stuff up and hope people read it, a blog format allows for an actual discussion to occur.

What I would like to know is this:  what do you want to read about here?  Right now, I base what I write about on what I am thinking about.  But I would like to have it more focused on what you would like to talk about.  Then, we can get some real discussion going, through comments here, through Twitter, through Facebook, with YouTube, etc.  This social media world is really quite amazing, and I would like to take advantage of it as much as possible.

So, send me your thoughts, as well as your Twitter, FB, blog or whatever you have URL’s, and we can get connected and go from there.  Thanks.

Hi Julie! I’d like to read about a few things:

    1. I do like to hear what’s going on with you. CF or non CF related, it’s fun to see what others are up to. You have great humor and you’re well grounded (you have no idea how many times I tell my friends that I LOVE the wrinkles that are developing on my face… age for CFer’s = SUCCESS!!!!

    2. I grew up with schnauzers, and I nearly fell off my chair in excitement seeing your little guy/gal in your latest YouTube video. Every once in a while if you want to throw the schnauzer in a pic or video, you’d make this CFer elated (I live in an apt and can’t have a dog myself)

    3. I exercise regularly but some days it’s tougher to get myself moving than others. Seeing your videos or your blog posts about the benefits of exercise, or your latest tip, or anything related is inspiring to me. I’m in this exercise thing for the long haul, and being around like-minded people I think is the best way to reach this goal!

Keep it up! Thanks for a great blog!!!!

    FIGHT ON

    Hey Julie,

Glad to hear you’re feeling better!

To answer your question – I like reading all of it, but most especially about exercise, because a CF person who knows about weight lifting is RARE.

But don’t stop writing about the other stuff, because I like the “accidental” learning too. For example, I did not know all influenza virus originates from pigs or birds. Additionally, I turn 30 next month (YEAHHHH) and it’s helpful to hear from an older CF person the kinds of things I can expect as I get older.

Just wait until you see all those wrinkles! One major hint: Wear suncreen!!! When I was young, I never thought I would live long enough for it to matter. Boy, was I wrong!

    Hi Julie,

Great website and a great inspiration! With your medical background and experience, I would like to hear your opinions on some of the treatments in development and nutrition.
There have been a number of dietary studies recently (Choline, 5-MTHF…) but little press on the subject. It would be nice to hear your comments!

    Thanks,
    Tom
